Florist Hydrangeas or Potted Hydrangeas are easy to care for houseplants, providing you keep the soil moist. Don't let them dry out, those large leaves and big blooms make them thirsty; however, don't let them sit in water. Indoors, hydrangeas prefer bright light and can tolerate some direct sunlight but not full sun all day. Typically given as a holiday gift plant for Easter and Mother's Day, these beauties can often be planted into the outdoor landscape but only well after the danger of even a light frost. When planting outdoors, hydrangeas prefer a location with morning sun and afternoon shade.
